The Umbagavango Nature Reserve is a 36 hectare reserve set within the grounds of the AECI factory at Umbogintwini - a wasteland that has been reclaimed. It is situated around two dams and consists of wetlands and indigenous coastal bush. It abounds with abundant bird life, and small game like mongoose, blue duiker, otter and vervet monkeys.

Rogies Park in Beach Road has a children's park with swings and slides. A flea market is held in the park on the last Sunday of every month.

The Hutchinson Park Sports Field offers a night Arts and Crafts Market every Thursday evening and a Farmer's Market every Tuesday.

There are many beaches, where all beach sports take place. The local population can always be seen on the beaches, either surfing, sand-skiing, sailing, fishing, diving, playing beach volleyball or swimming.
