General Background Steps to Canada/UK Links

  1. General Began and developed as a joint UKTTP/ CATT project; both a response to what our schools wanted and a desire to see the potential of the global TTPs maximized within our environments;
  2. General UK travel arrangements made with an air carrier; Canada puts in a formal proposal to Air Canada for discounted air fares ( appendix I);
  3. General Chronicle of International/National links for Connecting Canadians (appendix II);
  4. General Development of a questionnaire from UK programme to all TTP Directors and thereafter to schools direct: purpose to establish common interests and to hint at what might be possible areas of activity;
  5. General Production of a directory Tourism Community resource list of all schools and colleges responding, contact details and main interests;
  6. General UK/ Canada collaboration on the production of sample evaluation forms. (appendix III);
  7. General Testimonies and newspaper clippings of linkages;
  8. General Request to all GTTP participants to join us in this endeavor July GTTP meeting, 1998 New York, NY;
  9. General Wish List: Planned development of a package possibly including guidance on setting up links, experience derived from existing links and potential uses/ outcomes of these links;
  10. General Development of Canadian Curricular activities for use in international/ national links;
  11. General Development of International/National Student Exchange form (appendix IV).
