You may be an aspiring photographer or simply have an eye for what makes a great shot, but either way you’ll be pleased to know that the GTTP-sponsored annual photography competition is taking place in 2020.
Can you take that one photo that can showcase your community? Can you capture that one image that will make a prospective visitor say, “you know what, I’d like to go there”?
If you can, maybe you’ll be the winner of the 2020 Travel Photo Competition, a feat which will win the talented snapper a cash prize.
Communicating clearly with other people is a key skill to be developed by anyone wanting to go into travel and tourism and that doesn’t just mean the spoken or written word.
After all, as the saying goes, a picture can say more than a thousand words.
Who can take part?
The competition is open to all students at GTTP schools.
Can I use any camera?
In short, yes. Clearly many people use the cameras on their devices where the image quality continues to improve. If you are using a film camera the picture will have to be digitised and you can use software to edit your work.
How do I submit my work?
Just send a Jpeg file, no bigger than 4mb, to us via email at link. You’ll also need to send us an entry form which you can print off here.
Is there a prize?
Of course. There are national prizes with entry into the international finals.
And the deadline?
Entries need to be with us by October 31, 2020. Good luck!
