GTTP South Africa

South Africa has made Travel & Tourism part of the national curriculum, and currently there an estimated 306,000 learners in approximately 2,400 schools in all 9 Provinces. The South Africa Programme introduces high school learners to careers available in the tourism industry and provides a vital link between the classroom and the working world.

The programme: The programme is managed by Kundiza Training and Consulting, a business that specializes in tourism and hospitality education and training. The objective of the GTTP SA is to provide support to tourism teachers in the form of training, resources and industry linkages.  The South African programme introduces high school learners to different aspects of tourism over a three year period.  This subject will contribute to creating a tourism culture across South Africa.
