David Radcliffe is CEO of Hogg Robinson Group plc, the international corporate travel services company. Recognised as a true visionary and outstanding leader, Radcliffe’s career in corporate travel first began in 1978 when he joined Hogg Robinson (Travel) Limited (now known as HRG UK). He was appointed to the Board in 1989 and became Chief Executive of the parent company, Hogg Robinson plc, in 1997 – leading Hogg Robinson’s MBO, one of the UK’s largest public to private deals, in July 2000 and taking Hogg Robinson through a successful IPO in October 2006.

Totally-client focused, Radcliffe aims to exceed customer expectations. He has been instrumental in re-positioning the company as a rounded corporate services organisation providing a range of business travel related products and services to UK and international clients, strengthening it through strategic acquisition and organic growth, and shaping the standards in corporate travel management worldwide.

Under Radcliffe’s leadership, the Company has expanded internationally and Hogg Robinson Group now has operations in key commercial locations in 25 countries worldwide, all of which trade as HRG. These owned entities are supported by contracted partners and the HRG worldwide network now extends to over 100 countries and has a combined turnover in the region of $16bn.

As part of his commitment to expanding HRG’s operations worldwide, Radcliffe has overseen a number of strategic acquisitions. He remains passionate about HRG and is constantly assessing opportunities to acquire or engage in joint ventures in order to provide added-value services for corporations.

Radcliffe also has a vision for Hogg Robinson Group to be recognised as a Company of Choice which includes fielding the highest calibre of personnel to deliver outstanding levels of service. In recognition of his commitment to employee communication he was awarded the very first IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) Europe Excellence in Communications Leadership (EXCEL) award and in 2009 he received the Deloitte Director of the Year Award. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management and a Companion of the Institute of Management. Leading US publication Business Travel News has also named him one of the most influential executives of the year on three separate occasions (one of the few select executives to have received multiple listings) positioning Radcliffe alongside some of the most esteemed business leaders worldwide.

Born in London in 1953, Radcliffe is married with two children and is a keen power-boater.
